Mission & Values

Mission

Our mission is to help organisations' create and sustain an inclusive culture that both values and actively supports and promotes diversity. We take this to be a culture that recognises and promotes the importance of corporate values, ethics and objectives; and actively encourages and seeks benefits from differences in perception, thinking and approaches. We believe this can only be achieved by deliberately managing the inclusion of every individual member of the workforce.

Values

Our values include

Dignity of the Individual

We believe everyone should be treated with respect, all of the time and in all circumstances. We therefore strive to work in such a way so as to support and if possible increase the self-esteem of every individual with whom we are associated.

Integrity

We are sincere and honest in our approach to our work and actively seek to reflect our values in our practice. We believe in working with clients to identify relevant and appropriate outcomes, create a strategy to achieve the required outcome and doing so in ways that are consistent with their long-term goals, current priorities and are within the parameters of the agreed contract.

Similarity & Difference

Our humanity, as well as other things we have in common and consciously recognise as the same, provide important links that hold us together. In the workplace uniformity holds the organisation together, but we need sufficient diversity to stop it from dying. Difference adds value, when inclusion is well managed. For any system to survive and thrive it needs sufficient difference within it to cope with environmental change.

Collaboration

We seek to work in collaboration with others who share the same goals so as to produce more effective outcomes, make better use of resources and open up opportunities that might otherwise not be available. We believe in Pragmatic Coalitions. So, even where some goals are in conflict, we strive to collaborate in achieving those goals held in common.

Integration

If there is to be long-term gain, then any new perceptions, policies, priorities or practices must be integrated into those that already exist and are critical to success. We believe therefore that, particularly in the area of diversity and equality, new ways of thinking or being must become part of, and not held apart from the culture of the organisation.
